Les Français nous aiment (un petit peu)

And we love the FrenchIs it possible something beautiful is blossoming between Parson Brown and France? The flirting becomes more and more visible and presumptuous.

What started with Mexican Standoff as a first attempt to explore the French market and a showcase at the Parisian Espace Kiron, now has grown into a serious and exciting foreign adventure. The singles The Trees That Whisper (our biggest success in the Netherlands) and The Line helped establishing the solid reputation of le groupe pop/folk hollandaise. Regional radio stations put Mexican Standoff spontaneously back on their summer playlists. More trips to Paris followed, the Metz region was served with a sold-out show at Casino 2000 in Luxembourg. And how about this huge article in Jénzine Magazine (pages 18-25)?

All very nice indeed. But now thing are about to get really serious. French radio stations have embraced the new single A Walk in the Bright Light , the call for live appearances - on stage and on the radio - becomes louder and louder, and the album The Farewell State will soon be re-released in Franse in an updated version - with the new single(s) that is. Of course these will be supported with a small promo tour. Plans are being made right now.
